• Shifts construction from serial (power → cooling → etc.) to parallel factory prefabrication: modules are pre-commissioned into containers and craned into place on site like building blocks.
• CUBE 5.0 raises modularization across five systems (power, cooling, security, intelligence, fire) from ~30% to 90%; the 100-day window covers 30 days factory build/site prep, 50 days install, 20 days commissioning — ending before servers/network gear arrive.
• Claimed engineering results: ~10% lower cost per kW, near-100% first-pass test rate, 5–10x compute density per unit area, transformer count nearly halved, switchable air/liquid cooling with PUE ≤1.15 (air) and ≤1.10 (liquid); HVDC and high-elasticity design target compatibility across at least three chip generations.
• Piloted at Ulanqab and Zhongwei sites, certified via EU CE (EN) and IEC-based Southeast Asia market access; Alibaba Cloud plans to more than triple modular data center global production capacity this year (it operates 32 regions / 105 AZs).
